big production, 12 yrs awaiting and really gd movie. although the avatar looks a bit funny, but then it is still a very gd achievement to see all those graphics done up very nicely and very authentic. really a gd job done by james cameron. gd storyline, gd graphics, gd fighting scenes. i give this movie a 4.5/5 rating.

Bodyguards and Assassins

long awaited to watch this movie. hmm, even though it was on heroes being killed, but then i still wanted to watch, as expecting a lot of fighting scenes. but to my disappointment, it was more on the storyline of how sun yat sen came bck n went bck safely instead of a lot of fighting scenes like wad the title depicts. there were some interesting fighting scenes and a funny one with leon lai. cos of the way he stood at the last gate against those assassins. all those heroes did not died in vain, but they sure died in some weird ways. (except leon lai) well anyway, i give this movie a 3.5/5 rating.

Xiao Niu Dancing~

hohoho, some exclusive news for my dear frens. on tis day at nite, when we went out passing the wedding appreciation gifts to our brothers n sisters, something very nice happened. during our meeting with charmaine at the beancurd store at ang mo kio, xiao niu kept ‘dancing’ throughout. we all guessed it was due to the rock and roll music that xiao niu kept ‘dancing’, haha… but she was really very active during the music session! after the music session, she cooled down a while, cos no more music ma. then after fetching charmaine back to her house, xiao niu’s dancing came back again! she kept on dancing throughout the journey back home. it was most probably due to the music played in the car, haha… even when we reached my house, we told xiao niu that we are going to off the music, she still continued dancing. so we let her dance the last music, haha…

the kicks are really very visible lor! the kicks are so obvious that even with shirt on, can still see the pounding effect! wah very nice and sweet to see xiao niu so active so suddenly, haha… will she become a dancer or a singer nx time ar? lol…

War Of The Worlds 2 The Next Wave

wah luckily this movie didnt go on cinema, otherwise i will shake my head and ask for a refund. i watched this on dvd and i tink it was one of the worst movies i have watched this year. the special effects totally cannot make it, the acting is worse n the storyline is so fcking lousy! rating i give it 0.5/5 man… super the lan…

Eugene & Jing Jing’s ROM

today marks the beginning of another phase of another couple, who is also my friend in the same company, eugene and jing jing. they were both me and my wife’s respective brother and sister. it was held at sentosa amara hotel in the evening. the actual rom was held in the glass pavilion. it was decorated lightly with the appropriate decorations and it was absolutely fabulous. even though it was lightly decorated, the place was still very nice.

oh ya, today also rained big big ar. but luckily, just at around 6pm, the rain stopped. everything fell into place. the ceremony started off at around 6.30pm. n went on for at least another 1/2 hour. after which was photo taking and then dinner at the restaurant beside the glass pavilion. we finished the dinner at around 9pm then headed for home. for the full and clearer picture, u all will need to ask them personally. i hereby wish them all the best and happy marriage!

Lego (Cafe Corner, Green Grocer, Market Street)

woooo, after finishing up the grand carousel, we have decided to get another 3 sets of classic lego sets! the cafe corner, green grocer and the market street! oh well, it is quite expensive la, costing a total of $755.70! but it is very very nice de lor! below are some pictures on the lego boxes, i will shortly post up all the make in progress pictures of each and everyone of them when i start my work, haha… (oh ya, baby actually went to thomson plaza to have her lunch on wed and happened to bypass this shop called ‘secret chamber’. this shop solely sells lego only. and they sell very classic lego sets as well as very modern ones. they also display a lot of the sets lor! the most spectacular one is the crane! it is the huge model in the middle of the shop! 300k pieces fixed together!)

Christmas 2009!

wah tis year, our team is a much more cohesive one. last year we didnt have much celebration on christmas, as in exchanging of gifts among the team. tis year i started off with giving out candies to everyone in my team, then nx came jose, who also gave away chocolates from malaysia. then dengli also gave me a candy packet. these were started a few days before.

then just today, a lot of christmas gifts were given out. 1st is by our beloved domain manager, lih fen. she gave each and everyone of us a keyboard cushion, there were pigs, cows, monkeys, rabbits, dogs and turtles. i took the cow one cos xiao niu is coming ma, so give her the present, lol… then next was boon pieng who gave the whole iels team a gift of chocolate. n finally the last gift came from jeanette. a paper holder together with some candies.

below are some pictures taken from the presents. oh ya, i have also incorporated some of baby’s presents gotten from her company. they are a mini air-con, a chipmunk and a piggy bank.

Christmas Gift from DIY @ Jensworld

yes, finally the long awaited gift has been completed and collected from Jensworld at suntec. this gift is supposingly to be presented to baby as a special and surprise gift for christmas. but just 3 days ago on sunday, she happened to pass by the place and therefore, had a sneak preview of the model, haha… below are some pictures taken for the gift. feel free to enjoy!

oh ya, didnt explain about how to go about explaining the design to the auntie. when i first went in and started looking around for ideas on how to build the gazebo, i happened to come across the flower arch. so i started explaining to the auntie on having the layout exactly like what u have seen in the above picture. then when we were discussing about the gazebo, she say that they have not done anything on that and don’t seem to know how to do. so i gave them an idea on how to start with by saying that they could actually use 4 sticks together with some wireframes to support the roof. then using a white cloth to cover over. that would be enough to act as a ‘roof’ on the gazebo.

then since christmas is coming and i was thinking of the wedding, might as well combine both together. so suggested to have the gazebo at the top right corner of the board, then christmas trees to the top left corner. then christmas must have the words ma, so bottom left corner will put some christmas wordings. ok, so almost done with the outer area. so come to the inner area, settings of the ground to be snowing as christmas must have snow then is called christmas ma, lol… then having a car cos i drove a car on the day of our wedding. finally decorating the place with some flowers and snowflakes. ok, so that is about all that we have discussed dat day.

so when i actually had a glimpse of the almost finished model, i was very very happy. it turned out to be very gd and almost similar to my description. the only thing that differs is that the gazebo is not decorated with any leaves / flowers. but still ok, it looks very nice without the leaves too. n so this was how the model was born. wahahaha~ i like the model a lot n i intend to go there for more models to be made in future (if i ever need to make more). cos they have a very courteous auntie and their service is very gd. thanks auntie! and also hope baby like the present! merry christmas baby!

Fast and Furious 4

hmmm, i juz watched this movie last nite on my dvd. nothing much to talk about, i guess u all knows what it is. it is about some fast car racings and some fast car chasings. oh well, lol… rating to it will be 3/5.

I am on MC for 3 days!

on sunday nite, i suddenly feel very unwell. feeling like there is something in my stomach, stopping my food from digesting. feeling like its going to come out of my mouth instead of my other side. :P then juz at around 12+ midnite, i suddenly felt the urge to puke and went to the toilet. at tis time of the day, i finally gotten ill.

in the middle of the nite, i started to get fever, after measuring the temperature of 38.2 deg, i had 2 pops of paracetamol (fever pills). then went back to sleep. whole nite couldnt sleep well, kept turning here n there. it is becos of the stomach that i couldnt sleep well dat nite. i was also sweating in the middle of the nite, onli in the morning, then did i felt cold, lol…

so on this day, 14/12/2009, i went down to see the regular doc. luckily the renovation for the doc’s clinic is from 15/12/2009 to 3/1/2010, else i will have to go another clinic which i don’t normally go. when the doc diagnosed me, she told me that i am down with stomach flu. having fever, diarrhoea, vomiting, all in one. she said that i was attacked by a virus from somewhere, but it is definitely not from food. it is airborne. so the doc said not to get too close to me cos it will spread.

n so after the checkup, we bought back porridge for lunch for me. before i went to have a nap, i popped in another few pills for stomach flu, vomiting and fever. then also had my small bowl of porridge. then i went to bed… sa sa de baby decided to stay at home (took urgent leave) and look after me. i didnt wanted her to do dat, cos i can manage myself, but she insisted. :) i am very grateful for her sacrifice. muackz muackz :)

so every 4hours, i am awaken by baby to help me out with the medicine popping. if not for her, i think i would have slpt throughout the whole afternoon, haha… then at nite after dinner another popping and then had my fruits (grapes), didnt manage to finish my fruits as i was feeling somewhat going to vomit soon. so at the end of the day, i took a nice slp over the nite, until the nx day, didnt even realise baby already went to work. poor baby, had to work and look after me when i am sick. i am very thankful for her unrelentless energy to do both her work and to look after me. thanks baby!

oh ya, also not to forget my PIL and BIL for helping to remind me and to cook meals for me when i am sick too. thanks to all of them!

Lego Grand Carousel

oh yes, tis grand carousel is one of the christmas present i received for this year. it is a lego model of the grand carousel (or what u all normally call it, the merry-go-round) tis time round, it took us 2 nites to complete, but then nearing completion, we discovered that we had missing pieces, that was why it was delayed. we had to request for the missing pieces. until now, it finally completed and the pictures to the model will be presented below!

Surprise for Brothers & Sisters

Wooo, finally our surprise for the brothers and sisters are here! i will upload the pictures one by one after each of them have taken their ones. oh ya, in accompaniment to their surprise miniature, we also sent out a thank you speech to each of them!

	why we gotten this design for her is because she loves to bake and also is because she likes yellow color. that is why u all can see that in this picture, there is a chef’s hat as weill as a yellow dress! n tis is for susan!
	oh n here comes dengli’s one! wahaha, tis one very very alike her also. with her red dyed hair and her specs, its juz like a replica of her! with an identical percentage of at least 80%! tis is one of the favorites to win the doll alike competition! (when did we have tis competition?…)
	ok, here is a picture of the couple who just gotten married on 25th Dec 2009, eugene and jing jing! so obviously, why did we choose these 2 marriage dolls for them, haha… hope they really like this present!
	this is one of the cuter ones that we had in store for them, cos of the hairband ma. also becos she wore hairband before n i tink onli she wears hairband among the other 5 ladies, haha… so we prepared this for her~ n it looks very jolene alike also with the clothes and the hairband, haha…
	oh yes, tis one is a bit special than the rest of the other dolls. notice the hair? then you should know who is tis for, it is for charmaine! curled up hair at the bottom! :D so tis is a very customized one for her due to the hair design. lalala~~
	this is specially for chengfeng! no other dolls are as special as this cos of the cigarette, wahahaha. tis is so typical cf! n among all the other brothers and sisters, only he smokes! that is why it is so special!
	very obvious that tis is onli for the soccer player in my brothers, song gao! with the jersey of manchester united and no. 9, we thought of him playing like c. ronaldo!
	yeah, xueting’s one. quite like her, chubby n long hair wif fair skin color. the longer u look at it, the more it looks like her, illusion…

催促孩子
现今的社会节奏紧促。这不仅体现在父母身上，也通过父母折射到孩子身上。父母常赶鸭子似的催促孩子上学，吃饭，做作业，学才艺。清晨催其起床，晚间催其就寝。如此急惊风似的作息，私分容易造成生活压力，使孩子没有时间自行安排，细心观察，分析事理，做出反应，甚至导致孩子做百日梦，大大减少了孩子创造和探索的机会。

 

即刻满足孩子的需求
婴儿哭闹时，大多数父母会立即抱起孩子，喂奶或换尿片，由此建立起婴儿对家长的信任感。可是当孩子步入童年时，他们渐渐有了“等待的能力“，但许多父母却忽略了这一能力，失去了训练孩子“等一下”的机会。相反，却争先满足孩子的要求，使孩子逐渐养成没有耐心，缺乏自助的习惯。

 

极端的评价
孩子在成长过程中需要父母的评价，因为评价为孩子提供了行为尺标，指出了追求的目标。然而，过高或过低的极端评价，为孩子的成长不仅无益，反而有害。徐父母未意识到这点。他们或者过度赞赏孩子，导致孩子高估自己的能力，甚至会因为经常被夸奖而不把父母的话当一回事；或者过度贬抑孩子，在孩子面前故意拔高其他孩子，用意是通过孩子的比较来激励孩子，结果却伤了孩子的自尊心。

 

避免孩子无聊
一个人在无聊的时候会主动地去找一切事情去做。孩子也不例外。在某种意义上说，无聊可以刺激孩子发掘内在资源，寻求探索或创造。可是，不少家长生怕孩子无聊，故而准备许多玩具，书本或各类活动。尽管这样的安排有助又加强孩子的智能发展，却同时养成孩子过于依赖外在的刺激来娱乐自己。阻碍了他们在无聊是如何自理或购年的主动性。

 

不给孩子回答问题的时间
孩子经常会碰到一连串的问题。当他们询问父母时，许多父母不去及时抓住机遇，创设情境，给与孩子思考问题的时间，让他们自己去寻求答案，相反，却为孩子提供不必要的帮组，越祖代庖。结果，传递给孩子一个错误的信息：“我的能力不足以回答这个问题。”，或“我的能力不足以做成这件事情。”。同理，家长也常会提出一连串问题要求孩子回答，但却不给孩子足够的时间去思考或尝试，而是动辄指摘孩子回答不全面，思考不深刻，致使孩子逐渐认为凡事他的看法总是不重要，没有价值。

 

安排活动很少征询孩子的意见
为人父母者都有这样的体会，当他们在自己的单位里为人随意差遣或武断安排时，心里总觉得不适或不悦。可是，当他们回到家里，却忘了孩子也有这种共同的人类心理。许多父母会未经孩子的统一，或不与孩子商量，就擅自为孩子安排各种活动。当孩子对此有异议时，遇到的否决常常多于采纳。

 

介入孩子之间的争执
孩子之间难免发生冲突，他们有他们看待问题的方式，他们有他们了结事态的手段。对此同伴之间的争执，大多数父母会尽快出面给予制止，从而使孩子失去了自我协调，处理纷争的机会。一般说来，当冲突并不威胁身心健康时，父母应该让孩子自行解决。

 

期盼孩子实现家长未圆的梦

G.I. Joe Rise of the Cobra

this movie is nice, really nice. one of the better movies of the year. started off with some scenes which i dont know wad is it for, but the whole storyline is quite good. quite surprising that the professor was actually a previous soldier of the government’s army. they have this nanomites that will ‘disintegrate’ anything it touches within seconds. it is so powerful that it has been classified as a biological weapon.capable of mass destruction. so there is this team of G.I. Joe soldiers with exceptional capabilities and equipments to fight off the baddies. recommend all to watch this movie as it is very nice. would give it a 4/5 rating. :)

Lappy - 小红

yeah, finally i have my own personal laptop after waiting and waiting for 2years. even though i am more into PCs, but considering that i am staying at baby’s house, i cannot get a PC to be installed in her home, so instead, gotten a laptop. :) i have decided on the sony brand because basically, i tink sony laptops are alright, gd in ‘outfit’, gd in service and they are getting better and better in hardware too. they have some exceptional software just specifically for vaio which i have yet to explore, which has something to do with photos. they just cant get away from photography, haha…

oh ya, i bought this lappy together wif a free gift of wireless 红 (wireless mouse) :P, at the price of $1959, $40 less than what sitex is offering and somemore, same free gift! dun need to pay extra $40, save the travelling time and $$, and also save the trouble of squeezing through crowds. :) ok, to display my 小红 to u all below. ;)

New Moon

woah, ok la, not too bad the 2nd series. lesser fightings, introducing the werewolves. the werewolves were actually quite spectacular, given that they dont actually resemble human form when they turn to wolves. they actually are the wolves, n they are damn huge! ok, wont leak too much info on the whole story, just to let u know that this movie is somewhat around 3.5/5 rating. if u r into more of chasing the story of twilight, do watch tis movie. but if u r going to watch more action than story mode, then u wont like this too much.

Baking Honey Cornflakes

today baby decided to bake some honey cornflakes n so i helped her out together. :) early morning went out to have breakfast n then started to look for the ingredients from the supermarket. we bought 2 packets of cornflakes (1 honey, 1 normal), 1 block of butter and 1 pack of sugar.

when we got back, we prepared the oven, the utensils for preparing the ingredients and the cleared the place to work our cornflakes out. first we started small portion of 150g of cornflakes bundled together with 1 tbsp of sugar, 1/4 tsp of salt, 60g of butter and 50ml of honey. n it came out good! all thanks to baby’s mixing of the ‘gravy’ which was needed to mix up the cornflakes. :)

n below are the steps!

1. Cook, stir and mix butter, honey, sugar and salt with low heat until all become one.
2. Pour the cornflakes into a huge bowl. (enough space for blending with the gravy)
3. Pour the gravy into the huge bowl of cornflakes and stir and mix.
4. Set the mixed cornflakes and gravy into the cup cake wrappers.
5. Pre-heat the oven for at least 5mins for 160 deg celsius before puting in the cup cake cornflakes.
6. After which, put the cup cake cornflakes into the oven and heat for 15mins using the same temperature.
7. Leave it in the oven for at least 2-3mins after the 15mins, to let it cooldown. Then take it out of the oven.

thats it! u can eat after dat! hot and crispy! :) below are some pictures taken during the process!

Raging Phoenix

hmmm, i was looking forward to watching tis movie, but then after i watched it, i tot it was far from what the poster described. from the trailer i saw that the fighting scenes were quite good and real, but then as i watched the movie, i found out that it wasnt that good. i would only give this movie a 2.5/5 rating.

Up

up was quite nice. given that the starting was quite sad. there is tis little girl who came to know this little boy and then they both got a promise to go to the “paradise falls” in the movie. as time passed, the both of them gotten married, gotten old and just as they were saving money every time for their trip to paradise falls, they always meet some disasters and those savings were always spent. until one day, the gal gotten ill and couldnt continue the journey anymore with the guy, she presented her diary to her husband. after which a few days later, she passed away.

so this guy (old man) was devastated, living his life alone in the house they once lived together. until 1 day, there is tis little kid who came up to disturb the old man to allow him to complete one of his camping task, which is to help an old man. n so the old man’s adventure started frm here. this is where he started to make his house fly by using tons of balloons attached to his chimney. okok, i shall not reveal the 2nd half of the story so that u all can go buy the dvd to watch. :) i rate this movie 3.5/5.

Christmas Presents

wah, i love baby so much, not becos she gave me such expensive presents, but becos she gave me all her heart in giving me those presents. i feel so bad having her to spend such ‘huge’ amount on the presents that she gave me. :( nx time muz budget her, hehe, but i know no matter wad budget, at the end also wont hit the budget one. :P okok, she gave me a guy laroche wallet from tampines mall and a grand carousel lego from bricksworld at takashimaya. i was very touched that i kept thanking her the whole day, haha… :P below are 2 pictures of the christmas presents that she has given me. of course i havent given her the christmas present i was going to give. but hopefully, she will like it a lot as it is meant to be a huge surprise to her. :)

Went Out “Baby Shopping”

today baby and me went out to do some shopping for 小牛. n so we drove all the way to bedok to look for this department stall. when we reached bedok, we couldnt remember which is the place as we didnt take down the actual map out. so we were like driving blindly around the area until we accidentally reached the place via someone walking out of the area. :P

n so after we reached, we went in to the place to take a look. the place actually seems quite small, but surprisingly, a lot of people. there they sell a lot of baby items, like strollers, playpens, milk bottles, mats, etc etc… n so we browsed through the area and saw 2 prominent items that we wanted to buy. a playpen and a stroller. i will update with the pictures once i have taken them. :) in total, the playpen and the stroller cost around $400.

My Girlfriend is an Agent

wahahha, tis movie is nice. juz like last time the movie “my sassy girl”. :D u all shld watch. i really laugh all the way frm start to end. just pure lame and funny. although it is in korean language, there are still english subtitles. u all will enjoy one, haha. rating for tis movie is 4/5! i recommend highly to watch!

2012

this movie is based on the mayan calendar that actually ‘predicted’ the end of the world in 21st dec 2012. n so the director of the movie actually did some ‘prediction’ on how the earth will ‘disasterate’ itself and how the world actually came to an end. (actually its not the end in the movie, quite some number of people managed to make it out alive) the effects were quite good, although a bit exaggerating, but we never know whether it will happen tis way or not too. but overall i would give it a 3.5/5 rating.

Thanks for All who Came for My Wedding

we hereby thank all those who came for our wedding and we were very happy dat day. despite halfway needed to move the chairs into the function room cos of drizzling, we still managed to hav an enjoyable nite! also thks all for cooperating during the movement of the chairs into the function room. we love u all for giving us such a great nite. will personally thank each and everyone of u when i get to see u all! thanks once again!

Actual Day (Night Event)

yes, finally got time to write about the nite event. actually there is supposed to be a decoration section, which lasted from 330pm to 630pm, but i wasnt involved, so i cannot write anything on it. but i would like to thank my brothers and sisters as well as my real brother n his gf. they did a lot of work to deco the whole place for the nite event. they spent the whole of 3hrs without any rest in between the morning and the nite event, just to deco the function room. thanks to all of them!

okok, back to the actual nite event. it lasted between 630pm to 930pm, with all of us having the most fun out of it. our 1st guest arrived at 615pm. at that time, we were cleaning up the whole place already. setting up the reception table and the last of those items. preparing also the wedding favors for them to collect when they register at the reception table.

n so our event started off at 630pm, guests started pouring in, meddling around, having the buffet dinner and chatting with their frens. as the sky grew dark, the place grew very prominent as the place was nicely lit with the lights and decorated with the brothers / sisters works. at around 715pm, it started to drizzle. luckily everyone was very cooperative, all of them helped to bring the chairs and tables into the function room to get away from the rain. n to our surprise, the whole function room actually can fit those ppl in! lol… oh ya, our guest count is around 70. so u can imagine having chairs and tables together with 70 guests, not counting in our brothers and sisters and parents yet.

phew, lucky the rain was a short one. ending very soon after drizzling for about 5-10mins. n so everything still per planned. at around 8pm we started to get ready for the cake cutting session. so ug took this chance to invite the guests out to prepare for the cake cutting session. the 2 of us were invited to have the cake cutting at the small semi circle just outside the function room. but there werent any equipment for us to cut the cake, so jolene went to help to get the equipment. at tis time, ug suddenly ‘attacked’ us by asking us to say something to the guests, haha… naughty rite, nx time ug also will kena one, haha… :P

so after the equipment is here, cake cutting continued. :) after cutting the cake, we were again invited to pour the champagne. we were asked to pop the champagne, but no matter how we tried, we didnt manage to pop it, haha… instead we opened it manually. :P i even threw the cork to my frens who were prepared to get the popped cork, haha… and so we poured the champagne onto the glass pyramid. when the assistants were helping out with distributing the champagne onto all the glasses, ug again gave us another ‘sudden attack’. tis time he asked us to name 5 reasons on why we loved each other.

me: “cos she is smarter than me. cos she is very beautiful. cos she is very considerate. cos she likes to go shopping like i do. cos she also loves me a lot.”

baby: “cos he is blur as sotong. cos he is cuter. cos hmmm, sometimes he is smart la. he acc me go shopping wad. cos he loves me more than i do.”

haha, finally passed this stage. :P sabo king, lol… then after dat we had our arm toast. n so tis is our last event of the nite. after which everyone relaxed and was preparing to hav their last bite before they left off for the day. i once again thanked everyone who attended my wedding and those brothers and sisters who did their very best to deco the whole function room. i love u all deep deep! :D

Actual Day (Tea Ceremony)

after going through the gate crashing ceremony, it was time to prepare for the tea ceremony. while waiting for them to get ready the tea ceremony, both of us ate the bee hoon + 2 eggs + glutinous rice balls. next, we went thru the tea ceremony wif my in laws. after the 1st set of tea ceremony is over, we travelled to my house for the major tea ceremony.

we arrived my house at ard 12pm, only to find out that the whole living room was empty! then i see outside my house, ehh, gt a lot of shoes and slippers leh, how come so empty? then as i walked in, i saw all of them hiding in the rooms… (later on i heard frm my parents that they did dat cos they are not supposed to show themselves before the bride go into the room) so after baby went into the room, all of them came out. i was like, wah, so many people! i am guessing that there are more than 100 people loh, super the squeezy! nvm about the crowd, we quickly got ready for the tea ceremony. so round n round we went thru, gone 30mins and about 27 relatives we served them with tea. wah, wad a long tea ceremony with 27 singles / couples.

after the tea ceremony, all my relatives went down to the function room to have their buffet lunch. we had specially dedicated a buffet lunch for both our relatives side. so baby went to change and the rest of the brothers and sisters took their glutinous rice balls. i waited for baby to finish changing before having it together. then finishing the glutinous rice balls, we went down for our buffet lunch. but when we went down to hv our lunch, almost nth left already… so we basically went down just to take a drink and take some photos wif my relatives. after the photo taking session, we proceeded to baby’s house for the next tea ceremony.

so off we went and whalla~, there we reached her place at around 2.15pm. then we had a short tea ceremony. tis time it was about 10 singles / couples. then finishing the tea ceremony, we finally had our lunch. oh ya, also together the brothers and sisters had their sweet syrup. after around 30mins, finally the morning event is over! wah, wad a tiring day! the nx post will be the nite event already. stay tuned!

Actual Day (Gatecrashing Event)

stage 1: i was requested to read aloud my vows to 5 different witnesses. the number one guy was an army boy, he was going back after having his rounds in the market. he listened to my vows and signed the paper and congratulated me after dat, haha… then there is this uncle who was going to go out soon, standing by the side of his car. then the 3rd and 4th person were a malay couple who also signed and congratulated me after i recited my vows. the last one is an uncle who is cycling to dunno where he is going. :D so stage 1 cleared!

stage 2: we quickly proceeded up to baby’s unit’s level. and there we met the rest of the sisters. then we were made to wear 5 disposable under wears. on it were 10 different letters, front and back. then we were asked to form the word of the 1st lesson of java! after looking at each other and trying to figure out the correct positioning of the letters, we finally got it right! :P

stage 3: after the previous stage, next we had is the sour / sweet / bitter / spicy stage. wah tis one very funny. 1st item, 5 lemons cut up leaving the flesh.  2nd item simple one, ribena for 5. 3rd item, 4 cups of diced bittergourds in water and 1 cup of coffee. obviously the bittergourds are given to my brothers and the coffee to me, haha… cos i dun like coffee ma, so they gave me coffee instead. :P (but its nt i dun drink coffee, is i dun like coffee cos of the taste, lol…) ok, the 4th item is the killer part… wasabi clamped in 2 pieces of biscuits… its nt a bit, but a lot! (heard it was suggested by baby’s uncle to put 2x more of the wasabi…) then song suggested having the whole thing in 1 shot. so ok, i did my best! i threw the whole thing into my mouth and 2 bites… hang liao… haha… a few seconds later, tears started flowing out bit by bit liao, haha… sad rite. then i wanted to press on to finish it, but after 3 to 4 bites, cannot already. cfm will vomit out, the taste is too erm, weird liao… :P so we were given the chance to stop this final item, haha…

stage 4: short one but also quite fun. we were requested to hand out the gatecrashing ang bao, lol… so we presented them with 5 huge ang baos. :P actually all are fake ones, haha… wont tell u all wad is inside, but they were actually ‘snatching’ it from my beloved brother, ug, haha… the real one was given to someone in the house and we were able to go in! :P (ok, some sort of a misunderstanding and cock up here in this section, but i wont elaborate on it due to privacy. but i hereby apologize to the affected party and hope the misunderstanding has been cleared up.)

stage 5: into the house, but not done yet! we were made to sing a song and to perform some actions. 郭富城 - 对你爱不完 is the song we need to sing and perform! so we started and here it goes… “对你爱爱爱不完 (with the hand turning action) 对你爱爱爱不完 (with the hand turning action) 对你爱爱爱不完 (with the hand turning action)”, wahaha… we dun even know the lyrics so we repeat and repeat, lol… then the sisters gave us the lyrics and we started singing and performing the whole chorus, haha… ok la, nt too bad, we sang quite nice but the action very awkward, haha…

stage 6: we tot after the previous stage finish we can go in liao. who knows there is another one. getting the key out of the iced ribena. oh my, my favourite stage, haha… cos i like to eat cold food. :P so i started eating the ice… (even at one time song wanted to help, haha… but too bad onli me can finish up the ice…) after eating like 1min+, i finally saw the key! so i bit out the key and cleaned, then proceeded to open the door. but then was stopped and made to correct the vow made in stage 1. so i made the correction to our names and then i recited the whole vow again. after the vow was recited and returned to the person in the room, i ‘crashed’ in! n there sits my beloved wife, baby!!!

what a gatecrashing! i love and enjoyed it!

Actual Day (Morning Event)

yesh, now is the time to describe to all of you what actually happened throughout this whole event!

early morning at 6am, i woke up to prepare for the 2nd round of 安床, to place the new oranges and the 发糕 on the bed. then after which i prepared the ang baos for the gate crashing. these items were bought yesterday, but only had time to do them today cos last nite collected the car quite late. by the time i finished collecting the car for setting up the flowers is already 9+. at nite also went out to collect 发糕 from my wife. :D (ppl say 1 day before cannot see each other, but we still see each other, haha…) :P okok, so preparation of the ang bao started from 7am till 830am. :)

from 830am onwards, started preparing for setting out. at around 930am, all the respective brothers arrived! we then started to do a check on what to bring and to get rdy for the gatecrashing too! wah, getting excited, especially when i am going to drive the beetle car that i rented. :) the car is very nice. (i hope to buy from the current owner too in the future)

okok, less to say, we packed everything n set off at 1015am. ug even told me to honk when we reached there, haha. and so i opened up the canvas of the beetle car and drove along the journey to baby’s house. at ard 1035am, we reached baby’s house. we started honking the cars to inform them we hav already reached. :D n there we waited for them, here come the 2 ladies, jolene and dengli. they were supposed to be the 1st stage of the gatecrashing. but then even the person to open the door is nt there, so cannot proceed! lol… 5mins later, baby’s cousin came down to open the door for me. n so after i got off the car, we started the 1st stage!

Customary (Actual Wedding Day)

yes, finally it is over! all thanks to my brothers and sisters, as well as both the family members who helped out a lot for the whole event! i would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who came to my wedding. i am very touched and very happy that i would see u all. i also thank those that didnt come but their ang bao did come on their behalf. thanks a lot, thanks for attending. i hope u all enjoyed the lunch (relatives) as well as the dinner (friends). i will be updating the blog soon with the actual day event! look out for more!!!

安床！！

today! marks again, another milestone of the wedding line! today’s mission is to get set to fix dwn all the items at the right time! gotten up at 8+ in the morning to change the bed sheet, pillow cases, bolster cases and to add on a new quilt. :) then at 10pm, i went down to plaza to try to find a 发糕 for the 安床, but then only to know that it is onli available on the 1st and 15th of every lunar mth. it is ok! only 1 发糕 will not deter me from 安床! so i came back home, started arranging all the fruits and the other miscellaneous items. after making sure everything is prepared, i started to place the fruits and say the following few gd words:

百年好合，永结同心，白头到老，儿孙满堂，订婚良缘，佳偶成天，相亲相爱，甜甜蜜蜜，心心相印，天长地久。

after placing everything, ok, gd… i tired no place to rest :x then my bro watching tv outside with his gf, so cannot slp outside. no place to slp, so do my own things, lol… oh, ya ya, the pictures for the 安床 can be found below!

Wedding Meeting on 071109

today is another milestone for our wedding. the last major meeting between the brothers/sisters and us. let me start from what we were preparing for the whole day.

i went out to sheng siong to ger baby’s freshener at $1 each, as the other places were selling at ridiculously funny prices. then i proceeded to baby’s house in the morning to fetch her n bring some of the stuff over to my house. after we set off from her house, we went down to the centr@l to collect our sticky candies! after collection, we went to IMM for gown fitting. then for lunch n back home. by the time we came back home, it was already 4+pm. n we were going to head down to amk to buy baby’s curtains at 6, so there was actually not enugh time to rest. we prepared for the nite between 4+ to 6, n then head down to amk to buy the curtains.

since we were there already, so might as well fetch the other 3 ladies, charmaine, jolene and dengli over to my house. we also had our dinner there before heading for home at around 730pm. after which in between 815 to 9pm, all the ladies n guys reached subsequently. then our mass production line began… we had 2 groups of packaging line, all the ladies were packing the red box, while the guys were doing the other colored boxes. ok, dats all i can explained up to here. give u all some surprise on that day. :P by the timee we finished up the packaging, it was already 1030pm! but still, we were very happy that we managed to finish up the whole thing.

the ladies went down to check on the function room with the deco right after the packaging. then at ard 11pm, they were back, and we started our briefing for the actual day. so on n on we went, asking questions, joking about some of the things and then finally we finished the 1st part of the briefing by me. 2nd part was the deco, which, baby n me were not allowed to know. so we were asked to get to the room to rest, while they did the discussion. :x

after 45mins gone, they finally finished, lol… wad a lengthy discussion… :x nonetheless, we were all very tired le. so i decided to fetch them back since it was already 12+am in the morning. xueting’s bf came to fetch her, so luckily, the car can sit ‘5 passengers’. :P by the time i finished sending them back, it was already 2+! oh dear! when i was back home, i saw baby slping in an odd position n so i asked her to slp properly, lol…

after my bath, i also couldnt continue anymore, so went to bed after a while… wad an exhuastive day! thanks all the brothers/sisters in helping out with my wedding preparation. could not have thanked u all enough! thanks!!!

Coraline

ok, tis animation was one of those that i actually most wished to watch, lol… keep telling baby to come watch together. all in all, this animation is not bad. (oh ya, we watched the non-3d one) only found at cineleisure. all other cinemas showing 3d version de.

okok, back to the main content. this animation is talking about a girl named Coraline, who moved to a new house. then as she was pestering her parents to do something together with her, she was chased to do other things. so she found this small little door in her house that led to another replica of her current house. in this house, there was her other parents, with their eyes sewn with buttons.

so in this other world she is in, she was given everything that she wanted. n so she keep coming back every nite, until one day, she found out the truth that the other world, was actually to ‘kidnap’ kids n capture their souls. n so when she was trapped, she was supposed to help 3 kids to free their souls and to return to the real world.

n so she did her best to escape from her captor, the witch who created the other world. in the end, the witch was locked in the other world and the key was thrown deep down into a well, never to be seen again.

rating for this animation would be 3.5/5. :)

oh gosh… one of the worst movies i ever watched… talking about sex… –.-‘’’ talking about sex still nevermind, but all the shit things inside… sibei poor… but because of the ladies that are casted inside, ok, i tink still nt too bad la. the female lead is nt bad loh, but all the guys… cmi… rating 1/5…

过大礼

today is the 1st major milestone of the wedding. we had prepared ourselves for this special day. finally it came, awaiting soooo long for it. and we were so tired out by this event itself that as i am writing this article, my wife is soundly aslp, lol… actually nth much for this event itself, just to bring the guy’s portion over to lady’s side, then exchange exchange the gifts, then guy will collect back the items, that’s all. so simple for my side hor, lol… oh ya, below are some photos taken during the event itself. basically those items that are listed there are the before, during and after the event.
