this movie actually quite hilarous. everyone was funny in this movie. i dunno hw to describe, but if u hv those sense of rumors, you should actually watch this movie. its kind of weird in some sense and makes u laugh, haha… the storyline so so, but the conversations makes it interesting. i give this movie a 4/5 rating.

Salt

movie acted by angelina jolie. action is quite good and the storyline a bit twisting. talking about an american, who has been caught in north korea and release after help from a german fellow. this american is angelina jolie, named evelyn salt. she was actually a russian spy working in america for cia. but after she got married, she couldn’t help the russian spy agency anymore, so she took the chance to ‘complete’ a task to kill the russian president. an order given by the spy agency’s boss. after completing this task, she went back to russia to get her next assignment. at the meantime, she killed every single guy in the agency. guessed is becos they killed her husband. then she went along to perform her next task, which is to kill the american president and to launch a nuclear attack on the muslims. her plan was carried out in advance by another guy, who is also a russian spy in the cia. but in the end, she put a stop the the nuclear attacks and killed the guy. i give this movie a rating of 4/5 cos of the storyline and the action.

Wallaby Day 15

actually today is no longer at wallaby le. we are coming back today! hehe… both of us wake up very early today to do a final check on our stuff to bring back, at ard 545am sia. but when we were ready by 6am, lawrence n kian seng were nt even rdy yet. we still had to wait for them loh… finally at 630am, we were all set to move off!

we reached the airport quite early, at ard 8am… me n alwin still wondering y we wan to wake up so early just to reach airport so early. in the end, we could only check in at close to 830am… oh, the 2 of us (alwin n me) were dropped off at the airport first while the 2 of them (lawrence n kian seng) went to return the car. they were eventually sent back by the car rental salesperson.

after checking in, we sat dwn by a coffee stall. i guessed onli kian seng went to buy drink from them, lol… the 3 of us were using our laptops. we sat there, used our laptop till 1040am, but still there were no calls for boarding of our flight. we still continued to pack n go n queue up to enter the plane. at exactly 1105am, then they called for us to board… no wonder flight always delay… n they also always hve some technical issues b4 flying de, scary sia… still as scary as ever, the flight to brisbane still so shaky… luckily still landed at the brisbane airport safely.

we touched dwn at brisbane airport at 1230pm, n we needed to take the other flight at 115pm… luckily, the flight is taken at the same terminal, otherwise super the rush man. also luckily the luggage are 1 trip all the way to singapore, so we dun need to keep transferring them. but then still, the queue to go into the departure area is still so long! they still say they are short of staff… -.-''' cant they just get more ppl dwn to open more lanes… oh ya, frm here i know that, actually umbrellas also need to take out n scan, cos they cant scan thru the umbrella. :\ i dunno ar, they just told me to take out the umbrella n re-scan the bag. :\

so we boarded the flight at 110pm n flew off to sydney. over there the time difference is 3hrs, 1hr later than brisbane, which is 2hrs. slpt my way thru out the flight but was awaken halfway by alwin for ‘lunch’. apparently the lunch was juz a small pie wif a pint of mineral water… obviously we were not full enugh, so we were nw looking forward to the dinner for the nite flight back to singapore. haha… then this alwin keep saying he wan his prawn noodle, lol… tink he gone mad after having 2 weeks of western food n fast food in australia, lol…

we touched dwn at sydney at abt 350pm, sydney timing, which is about 1250pm in singapore. we took a bus frm the domestic airport to their international airport. we also took a walk ard the international airport to see whether there are stuff to buy. i bought nothing, alwin bought some chocolates, kian seng bought a wallet for his wife (heard is A$150+) and lawrence bought a drink, frozen coke! lol… we all bought the famous australian donut, krispy kreme back to singapore. hehe… after some shopping ard in the airport, we boarded the flight back to singapore!

n so, our journey ends here today at australia for this period of time. we shall be back to singapore in another 8hrs time! i cant wait to eat singapore food once again after a 2 week tenure in australia! singapore, here we come!!!

Land of the Lost

movie dat talks about time travel horizontally, which means, past, present and future will co-exist together in 1 time space. in real life, it is definitely not possible within our period. but interestingly, if this were to happen in our time, it shld bring about a lot of chaos, haha… some parts of the movie is quite funny n entertaining. the male lead did a gd job in the movie, haha… i give this movie a 3.5/5 rating.

Wallaby Day 14

early morning at 730am, i was awaken by alwin. he was telling me dat, kian seng needed him or me to accompany him to camp to retrieve his mouse. then as i was still slping, alwin say he will go loh. i knew it, he kian seng cfm needed another guy as a vehicle commander in the camp as it is a compulsory rule, safety regulation. lawrence couldnt go cos he is dwn wif flu and sore throat, so in the end alwin went. lol…

i continued to sleep till abt 1030am, then woke up for some breakfast. at ard that timing, alwin came back too. he told me that kian seng couldnt get back his mouse as the users ‘purposely’ dun wan to return him the mouse, haha… he even mentioned dat kian seng bought them breakfast sia… for 12 of them. in the end, they went in to treat them breakfast and couldnt get back the mouse, lol… kian seng then ask one of the system admin to keep for him n he will take frm them when they are back in singapore.

after they were back, we prepared ourselves for shopping at rockhamton! kian seng washed the car while we got ready. at the meantime, we settled the bill for the hotel too. after everything’s done at the hotel, we headed to rockhamton. we went to harvey norman first and alwin bought a ps3 game at A$20. then next we headed dwn to another huge departmental store that sells surfing products. none of us bought anything there, so we proceeded to stockland, the shopping centre that we were going to.

we reached there at 1pm n split up wif kian seng. the 3 of us walked ard the whole shopping centre n bought quite a lot of stuff. i myself bought some food and gifts for my families in singapore, total cost ard A$90. alwin and lawrence also bought quite a lot of stuff. we settled dwn for lunch at 3pm at the food court. their food court is all western and fast food de loh. ok la, there is one chinese food stall, but… all they sell was fried rice (wow, finally gt rice to eat) n meat… no vegetable at all… fried rice wif 2 meat costs A$7.80… superbly expensive… i ordered fried rice wif shanghai steak (doesn’t taste like beef to me, more like chicken) and 1 pathetic spring roll… the ang mo auntie still wanted to give me 1 more piece of meat after i paid, haha… she put the meat on my plate n it rolled dwn to my finger, lol…

during our lunch, kian seng joined in as he also finished his shopping. he went to have kfc burger, lol… just yesterday we eaten onli, so i dun wan to eat again, lol… then me n alwin ordered frozen coke again! wahaha… its juz too nice to forget abt it sia. singapore mac shld come up wif this man. we finished our lunch, left rockhamton at 3pm. went back to hotel to pack our stuff. the 2 of us were like omg, still gt so much food, hw to finish sia, haha… nonetheless, we still tried to pack everything into our luggage. the rest of the stuff will have to be kept in our hand carried bags.

dinner time came n lawrence came dwn just in time. why just in time? cos he could help to finish up the 3 cup noodles we have, haha. the 3 of us took 1 cup noodles each. but then there are still cheese and ham in the fridge… tink i shld finish them by 2nite. :\ i was thinking of enjoying myself for the last day by watching soccer at 12am, but dunno can tahan till then or not, haha… n even the 230am match too. tml we will have to wake up at 6am n set off at 630am latest. so i still tinking, haha… we will see later.

ok, i shall sign off for the last time at australia for this period. if i still have the chance to come the 2nd time, hopefully baby n niu niu also can come over, haha… i feel that australia is a good place to relax and enjoy urselves, but then not a very good place for youngsters as the pace is too slow and not much pressure on them. only under pressure, then will men n women perform better and to the utmost of their abilities. this is wad i believe. lol… so maybe nx time i might retire at australia? who knows…

The Hole

nth interesting about this movie. just a typical non-scary movie, wahaha… one of the worst horror movie? lol… i give this movie a 1/5 rating.

Splice

interesting movie, that shows cloning of animal cum human genes combined together. forming another type of species that has a human body wif an animal trait. the interesting thing is that the specie will change sex over a period of time. interesting isnt it? in the end, the couple who created the specie, one of them died, while the other survived. y is dat so? cos the new specie became a male and killed the male lead. n the female lead killed the new specie. lol… quite interesting, 3.5/5 rating.

Wallaby Day 13

1 more day! yes, just 1 more day! tml will be a more relax day for us as we plan to go dwn to rockhamton to walk walk! but then, dsta boss going to camp tml morning to take back his mouse, which he left in the container truck when we left for hotel 2 days ago… oh well… so in fact, alwin decided dat we shld go dwn to yeppoon shopping centre first b4 heading dwn to rockhamton, if all goes well, n of course, if time permits.

ok, today woke up quite late again, as we were only told to go to camp at 2pm. alwin and lawrence went out to walk at ard 1030am, while i continue to take my rest on the bed until 11am, haha… then just as i was about to have my breakfast at 1115am, someone knocked at my door. i tot they were bck so soon after their walk, but instead, it was our beloved dsta boss. y he is here so early leh? cos he 4gt to take out the remote control which is used to lock the garage, so he came here to take the key to the garage door. erm… i keep my comments, lol… he is here so early cos he wan to go dwn n pump petrol b4 going into camp.

so at ard 1130am, the both of them came back. they took their rest for a while n we got ready by 1230pm. then we set off for camp! we reached camp at ard 2pm. when we gt there, the users were complaining about their promised breakfast by kian seng, our beloved dsta boss. wahaha… muz be yesterday he anyhw promise the users about the breakfast, wahaha… funny sia… when he got into the room, everyone was ‘niao-ing’ him, wahaha…

while alwin was busy collecting feedbacks frm the users on the usage of the system, the rest of us were relaxing our way in the room. at abt 4pm, kian seng suddenly wave bye bye to us without telling us he was going off… -.-''' we quickly packed up n went to return our pass, only to find out kian seng wasnt there… we dun even know where he went loh… he always like to do things on his own, never tell us anything, or rather, always dun wan to tell us… haiz…

we went bck to hotel right after we finish our stuff. along our way bck, we encountered another kangaroo jumping across the road in front of our vehicle. tis time i didnt scare kian seng, haha… then we also received call from another team’s boss, victor, that our vp is going to treat us to dinner 2nite. so we went bck to get prepared ourselves for the dinner! hmmm, at least we still get to hv a treat frm our vp, ok nt too bad as compared to yesterday, lol…

we all set off for dinner at ard 645pm. we were going dwn to rockhamton’s sizzler to have the dinner. i ordered the fisherman’s platter deluxe wif free flow drink and salad buffet. the main dish is very huge serving de loh… i eat the dinner until very full sia! went for 2 rds of salad, 2 cups of pepsi and orange juice, 1 ice cream (wif chocolate rainbow rice, smarties, chocolate chips toppings) n 1 serving of watermelon. lol… eaten a lot hor, haha… the meal was very exp, approximately A$34 for this set. dats like S$44 loh… so bloodly expensive…

went bck to hotel ard 9pm. took a long rest due to too full stomach, haha… b4 going to bath n then surfing the internet. finally i finished using up the pre-paid card, lol… maybe tml will recharge again to use for last time. time to slp liao loh… tml will be another ‘busy’ day for me! yeah, busy shopping! :D

King of Fighters

another failed movie of all time… based on the japanese comic, this movie was created, but in an european setting. all foreigners… n the movie was fos, totally question marks over my head man… even alwin also see liao also question marks… stupid movie. wads nice was the actress only, cmi man… 1/5 rating.

oh dear, this movie muz be some of the worse movies i have seen. the acting was so poor! wads worse was that all the fighting and killing is so fake! did this movie went on in the cinema? i hope it didnt, super the lousy sia… 0/5 rating…

Wallaby Day 12

today is day 12 already, another 2 more days to go back singapore! today woke up at 8am n prepared to move off at 830am. it was a long and arduous journey of 3hr+ to reach our destination in the camp. today supposingly there are going to be a few vips that will be visiting our area at ard 2pm, so i told our dsta boss that we all shld wait till the vips come then go back hotel together. since 2nite also our software wont be used anyway.

so we all waited for the vips to arrive b4 we go back to hotel. from 2pm we waited till 3pm then they arrived. after they arrived, our dsta boss briefed them on the system and onli for about 15mins, they all left… our vp didnt even come n see us, wth… wad kind of vp is this, never even come n ask our condition here. jialat man… y all the higher management dunno hw to take care or even get concerned about the lower management one… haiz… aiyah, who cares about him man, nt my problem anyway. i do my job n get my salary, i very happy liao. bs management…

anyway, after the vips left, we left too. i guess everyone was tired after a 2 day 24hr shift. the whole journey was very quiet, haha… along the way back, we encountered 2 wallabies jumped across the road in front of us! almost scared us to death, luckily never knock into them. phew… then also saw 1 mountain by its own, bare side, which looks like a cliff. past few days saw a lot of cows and horses by the side of the road, grazing the grasses. today, we happened to pump petrol in a petrol kiosk. n there was a horse ranch just behind the petrol kiosk. 3 of us, alwin, lawrence n me went to take photo of the horses. i even touched one of the horses’ nose! haha… they are very tamed and when they saw ppl ard their area, they will walk towards the fence n look at us de. so cute! too bad when i touched the horse, alwin wasnt fast enugh to capture the photo, haha…

tonite’s dinner was kfc, i ordered a ultimate burger combo, which consists of fries, 1 fiery burger, 1 coleslaw, 1 drumstick n 1 can of pepsi. it costs A$10.45, quite exp for so little stuff, but when finish eating, is quite full de loh. after the dinner, we headed bck to hotel le. tml we will be going to camp early afternoon for some after action review. although i dunno wad they r gg to talk about as the system was not used much, haha… but i guess its going to be a quick one. anyway we need to go in n return the pass too.

yes, looking forward to tml as the time will pass very fast, hoho… just another 2 more days!!! jiayou!!!

Dark House

this horror movie has an interesting plot from the start, using holograms as horror subjects and later, these holograms perform killing actions on those visitors. in short, they become real in a short moment and will disappear once they killed the victims. this is the main story of the movie, but at the end, it was depicted dat the main actress actually killed them by herself. tis is wad the police deduced from all the murder weapons which has her fingerprints. close to the end of the movie, there was a couple who were paying a visit to the house, n in the end, they will locked up by the ghost of the house. just like wad happened to those initial visitors. i give this movie a 4/5 rating. quite a good plot and the horror sections were good. their effects were also gd too.

Wallaby Day 11

ok, now is time to do count down till going back to singapore liao! yeah! another 3 more days! longed to see everyone in singapore, especially baby and niu niu!

today i ended work at 1pm and headed bck to hotel. took the exit at the nearest gate. my dsta boss say this way is nearer to the outfield area and faster to reach hotel, so he came by this road. yah, faster, faster to reach rockhamton instead sia… going to yeppoon need take 2hrs de loh… soooo long… so long until fall aslp sia… -.-```

after reaching yeppoon at 3pm, we went to have our lunch at red rooster. cos my dsta boss say their quarter chicken is nice, so went to eat there for lunch. ok lah, their chicken, quite nice, nt bad. but then the chicken a bit too big for me, haha… in te end gave about 1/3 of the chicken to my dsta boss to eat. :P so after having our lunch, we went bck to hotel to take our much needed rest.

i cleaned up myself, took a rest b4 taking a short nap at 5pm. a bit too tired liao, took my nap on the sofa while watching movie, haha… woke up ard 9pm due to dsta boss called, so woke up to hv my dinner, cornflakes wif milk. :D quite nice also, eaten the normal cornflakes which has raisins in it also. then also had some chocolates too. surfed some net after dat and went to bed ard the same time. tml will have to wake up at 8am to go down to camp to join the rest of the team.

hopefully tml nite can come back, instead of staying over outfield in the nite. then nx day join back the army personnel in the morning. that is if our dsta boss can get the deal off loh… i wont hope much over him, haha… anyway, its last 3 days nia, not very much of a concern liao, haha… just wan to go back to singapore asap. :)

Universal Soldier Regeneration

hmmm, normal movie. typical action plot, nth much to say about. its also gd kill bad loh. rating for this movie, 3/5. i guess there will be a part 2 as at the end of the movie, they show the doctor, responsible for creating those universal soldiers, having more than 4 new soldiers created. guessed so.

Tidal Wave

this show is a bit sad, a lot of people died in a tsunami, or rather, a mega-tsunami. most of the personnel that had a fair share of their acting timing in the movie, died of the tsunami. this was all because of the unwillingness of the ‘chief of disaster?’ to evacuate even b4 the warning was issued. in the end, the evacuation of the citizens could not be completed in time and a lot of people died. this movie actually describes about real life on people always needs to follow protocol b4 acting. sometimes, we just need to tink a bit and act a bit faster de loh. well, i give this movie a 4/5 rating cos of the teachings the movie gave, as well as the hilarious parts.

Shutter Island

wah this movie is gd man. i believe inception was wrote off this kind of movie loh. its mind boggling at the start on how the plot actually went off, n at the end, how it actually ended. this movie, like inception, does not actually tell u how it ended. it leaves u to tink how u want it to end. it is dat kind of movie which is excellent at letting u tink many possibilities of ending. magnificent movie, 4.5/5 rating.

today is baby’s 27th birthday! i hereby wish baby a happy birthday and all her wishes would come true! i m waiting for her to take photo of the flowers i gave her, hehe… i love u baby! muackz muackz!

Wallaby Day 10

today woke up at 5am in the morning n surprisingly, the sky was already bright. its really too early too be day light sia… while changing, i already saw my 2 dsta counterparts below, taking photos of the beautiful day light at 515am. we set off for camp after we r done.

when we reached the gate to enter the camp, nobody came even though we called 1/2hr b4 we reached the gate. in the end, an australian contractor, who was going in, opened the gate n we went in… stupid process, wasting everybody’s time… anyway, after heading in, we went straight to the area where they would be deployed. we helped to setup the server and all the terminals for the users. after finishing all the setup, alwin and lawrence headed bck to hotel at 5pm, while me n the dsta boss stayed to do the overnite duty.

it was quite boring though, whole nite sitting at the chair, doing nth! onli thing i could do was to watch movie and play some games. tired then take a nap. but there wasnt even any comfortable position i could slp. so i guess when i get bck to the hotel the nx morning, i should be quite tired, haha… the shift to take over the nx day was supposed to be 10am. so we will wait till then. i am ending here for today, nothing much to write about as i am doing nth here…

Cherry Tree Lane

this movie is very the cmi. the story is bs man. simi a gang of youngsters forced themselves in to a boy’s house n wan to kill him. in the process, they ‘kidnapped’ the boy’s parents n did something bad to them. they waited until the boy is back before acting. when the boy was back, all the guys injured him severely and even wanted him dead. luckily the dad freed himself and went to both the mom and the boy’s rescue. in the end, the mastermind was dunno killed or severely injured by the dad. oh bs story, i give this movie a rating of 1/5.

Wallaby Day 9

the start of a new week n the last week we will be at wallaby! finally the 1st hectic week has been over, n the nx hectic week is coming, haha… hopefully everything will go quite smoothly for this week’s exercise. same timing we went to camp, did some stuff we need to do b4 they start packing for the exercise. then our dsta counterpart went to do some on the ground orientation of the whole area. while me and alwin stayed in camp, to zo bo, haha…

morning finish our stuff liao, then afternoon we doing nothing sia… so alwin surf his net, while i play my game. oh well, the internet is very unstable, or rather, un-connectable, so didnt go online. we waited in camp until dsta counterparts came bck at ard 545pm. then we headed back at 6pm! woooo, earliest timing we ever set off frm camp, haha…

when we reached yeppoon town, they decided to eat at dominos again. oh well, think lawrence wanted to eat the family meal, haha… so we ordered pizzas again. this time, each paid A$7 for 3 large pizzas, 2 garlic breads n 2 1.25 litres of coke n sprite. same thing, all of us couldn’t finish the pizzas, lol… last time 4, now 3 still cannot finish. :\ so after finishing the pizzas, we did our stuff and rested early for the nite as tml we need to reach camp at 630am. which also means we need to wake up at 5am! oh dear, we engineers need to wake up the same timing as the army personnel… oh well… anyway, left a few more days. just go ahead wif it liao. get it over n done wif n head back to singapore!

finally gotten my airplane! i bought this set in australia, yeppoon big w departmental store, at A$123. which amounts to about S$159 in singapore. below are the photos that i have taken! :D

Wallaby Day 8

woot, today slp till 1pm! haha… wah super shiok sia. previous few days slept in the living room cos the air is much more ventilated. but last nite, i moved in to the room! lol… cos i know i m going to sleep quite long, in case i disturb alwin’s presence in the apartment, haha…

after getting up at 1pm, we quickly packed up and go out to woolworths n big w again, the big shopping centre in yeppoon. while we were on the way to the shopping centre, lawrence asked whether wan to go dwn to rockhamton. but based on our experience, by the time they return bck to yeppoon n head down to rockhamton, it would be ard 4+ already. by then most of the shopping malls would have closed. so we decided dat going to the shopping centre in yeppoon is gd enugh. so we went there n bought some stuff for nx wk’s meals in the hotel n outfield support. i oso bought a present for myself over in yeppoon! lego airport! lol… it was cheaper here by S$10, so that’s y i bought it. :) i wanted to buy swim suit for niu niu, but could not find any here. their clothes here were also very foreign style. dont tink it will look good on niu niu.

as for baby, dunno wad to buy also. will keep a lookout on wad i can get for her, hehe… had my lunch at the shopping centre, eating chicken kebab wrap, costing A$7.70. the serving was ok n the kebab was quite nice. actually the food here all quite nice de, juz dat a bit too expensive. our dsta counterparts also reached the shopping centre to do their shopping at ard 3pm. after everyone is done with their shopping, we headed back to hotel to take a rest. we were all really quite tired sia, dunno y also. in the end, everyone took a short nap in the hotel before going out for dinner at 7pm.

we went dwn to search for food to eat. wanted to eat at galaxy or even happy sun, but the food there dun quite suit us, so we went bck to have some seafood. we had our dinner at keppel bay seafoods. of course we didnt hv crabs, prawns, oysters, etc… those are luxury foods for us, nt full meal, haha… all of us ordered spanish mackerel fish n chips. good food, shld try. its nt very expensive, costing A$11.40. but then… their sauce need to pay de loh… as u know, i cant eat fish without tar tar sauce, so i paid A$2 for the sauce. :\

after dat dinner, we went to have another freeze! the slush puppie! we actually wanted to have ice cream de, but then they say its too expensive for 1.5 scoops of ice cream, so we had freeze! A$3, for a medium, which is actually small in singapore… ok la, nt too bad. but compared to macdonalds one, still far. haha…

we walked back to hotel after buying the freeze. n saw that the scenery outside our hotel was magnificent! the moonlight on the sea was very beautiful. i have taken some photos of it too, as well as other nite shots. take a look at them below.

after taking those photos, went bck to hotel to take a rest. watched some soccer again as today is sunday. tml is going to be a long day ahead again. dun even mention about the following few days, its going to be 24hr shift loh. haiz… hope time can past faster during this week. how i wish to go bck to singapore asap sia… but if i were to stay here for retirement, its gd. haha… cos here is peaceful n quiet, very good place to relax. anyway, i going to sign off frm here. will continue my entry tml. :D

Wallaby Day 7

yeah! finally saturday going to end liao. left 7 more days to go bck to sg! today slept till a bit late, haha… almost missed the timing to go camp. :P morning ate last 2 pieces of bread on the car, lol… afternoon n nite time didnt eat, cos there is nth left for me to eat, haha… so lunch n dinner time go on hunger strike. :P

we ended work at 845pm. went for supper at macdonalds. yeah, u didnt see wrongly, macdonalds. :\ tis time i ordered 10 nuggets meal. when it was my turn to make my order, i asked the counter whether they have curry sauce n he looked puzzled asking me, “curry sauce?” i was like, ok, haha… so i asked him wad sauce they have. then he one by one tell me all the sauce, haha… if i never remember wrongly, they have sweet and sour sauce, honey mustard sauce, ketchup, mustard sauce, creamy sauce and barbecue sauce. most of them never see b4 at sg’s macdonalds. just as i couldn’t make up my mind on wad sauce to ask for, he say he will give me 1 of each, lol… i oso upgraded the normal coke to freeze cola! which u cannot find in sg macdonalds also.

hmmm, the nuggets were a bit crispier than sg’s one, a bit lesser meat maybe 1/10 lesser. but the skin is crispy de loh. quite nice. as for the freeze cola, wah shiok man. even weather is cold, drink dat one also shiok! :P we were eating halfway until some australian youngsters came into macdonalds to buy some food. then we were saying the youngsters here very carefree, got life. unlike in singapore, totally tied dwn by studies during their age. hopefully nx time niu niu grow up liao, have more childhood life. :)

after supper at mac, went back to hotel to take a rest loh. since tml not working, gg to slp a bit longer! hehe… today gt soccer to watch, watch a bit then go take a long nite rest till tml morning. wooo~~ sad to say, our dsta counterpart has to work tml, lol… may god bless them there, haha…

Wallaby Day 6

another day passed liao! yes, 1 more day towards going bck to singapore! early morning woke up at 715am, only to found out that our dsta counterparts were nt in the hotel. heard frm lawrence, they went dwn to hv breakfast, haha… anyway, same routine to the camp to do our work. a bit of work to be done and some bugs to solve, other than that, not very busy. today not much event finished work ard 7pm before heading out of camp.

had dinner at a chinese noodle restaurant. incredibly, there were just enugh seats for the 4 of us, n that is 4 seats in total. :\ my 3 other colleagues here ordered fried rice while i ordered seafood laksa. its quite exp to say, theirs cost A$9.80, while mine cost A$10.80. but, the serving is bountiful! wah eat until shiok man. i heard frm them the fried rice is quite nice, n mine was also the same. onli 1 of them the fried rice was quite salty, haha… oh ya, the ingredients they used, shiok man! is a lot de loh! i tink its quite worth the money to eat, only a bit too high end, haha…

the uncle still came out n chat wif us. he is a china man frm beijing. he explained y one of the fried rice was saltier, cos he didnt know it was for us, haha… he even told us some funny stuff he experienced when australians order food frm them. for instance, asking to put more salt into the food. :\ dats hw australians eat, haha… anyway this uncle also v frenly, had a few mins of talk wif him, lol…

after dinner, we went to the food mart to grab some stuff for nx coming wk. i didnt buy any groceries, except 1 cup of erm, ice blended pinelime. eeeww… funny name, tastes like cough syrup, haha… expensive but still managed to finish. :P it costs A$3.50. after shopping there, we went bck to the hotel to take our rest. to prepare for saturday work. hopefully we can try to come back earlier, lol… hope arh…

Wallaby Day 5

early morning woke up by our beloved boss at 730am, telling me that one of us has to set off liao. so like wad he suggested last nite, preferring alwin to go. so in the end, alwin still woke up early n went dwn. while i stayed in the hotel nth to do, i took a short nap till 12pm. then called over lawrence, my other dsta counterpart, to watch anime with me. (he requested it, lol… muz be bored by himself) ya so we watched throughout the whole afternoon until abt 2pm, our dsta boss called to tell us he is coming out to fetch us in.

i was like, ok… so wad if he come out n fetch us in at tis timing? wad can be done? haiz… anything la, cant be bothered too much. so we continued to watch the anime. oh ya, we were watching gundam seed. :) so ard 415pm, our boss reached n we set off to get some dinner at red rooster. ya, u didnt see wrongly, red rooster again, lol… tis time rd, our boss treated us. :\

after getting our dinner, we set off to camp. onli to find out that the personnel to open the gate didnt arrive as discussed, in the end we need to go back to somewhere there is reception n call to request them to open the gate once again. but even after calling, they took like 1hr to reach the gate. all of us were quite pissed off with this choke point lor… superbly stupid… waste of time n energy driving in n out…

over in camp we managed to settle some stuff n finally finished everything by 10pm. after dat, we set off frm camp n reach hotel at 1130pm. it has been like tis for the past 2 days. i tot we were supposed to be on an 8-5 working hrs basis? hw come become like dat… super sad… dunno liao… we shall see day by day loh…

Wallaby Day 4

seems like its day 4 already, 1/4 of the journey in wallaby gone. today woke up at 730am, finish preparation within 15mins n set off for camp again. this time is straight to the camp, never stop anywhere else. nth much happened in camp, onli thing is we didnt go for our lunch. i guessed we were too busy trying to help user to debug the software. in the end i ate onli 2 slices of bread. the main point is in the nite.

we were so happy that we were able to pack up ard 6pm to head back to hotel to eat some good food. onli to find out that the car’s battery is flat! our beloved dsta boss actually left the headlights on and becos it was day time, all of us didnt know. oh dear, even after trying to jump start and push start, it still didnt work. in the end, we were left stranded in camp for 4hrs… he tried his best to at least gotten someone to come n fetch us. while in the meantime waiting, i watched gundam seed n had some food. our user was kind enugh to offer us some food frm their happy hour. they had bbq fish and lamb chop, i ate 1 each, haha… quite nice, nt too bad. so at least we had our dinner. oh i oso ate fries and a can of coke frm the canteen.

at ard 10pm here, our help arrived. travelled out all the way to hotel took us close to 2hrs. which meant ard 12pm we reached the hotel. juz b4 we wanted to go bath, call came frm our dsta boss. he suggested dat alwin would go in to camp first in the morning to settle his stuff, then i will go in later. cos there nt enugh seats (we r taking someone’s car in) then alwin say he v tired n say he will oversleep, he might nt wake up on time. after some few seconds of conversation with the dsta boss, he angrily hang up the phone, go bath n slpt. lol…

anyway, i oso took some time to rest for a while outside the balcony to feel the cold air n use the internet. lol… it is really cold de lor, nt to even mention our apartment is facing the sea! so u can imagine hw cold it is. at nite, dunno is winter or close to spring season, facing the sea… super the cold… after finishing this blogging, i went to bed loh! tired n cold! baby, wait for me to come bck!!! i love u n niu niu! muackz! another 10 days onli!~~~~

Wallaby Day 3

gotten up early in the morning at 730am. the previous nite decided that we should set off at 8am, so dats y dat time. (but in singapore is 530am leh! can we go back to office n tell our boss that we shld off work at 4pm instead of 6pm? lol…) anyway, we didnt buy any breakfast frm outside as we had bought quite some food yesterday. so i had 2 piece of raisin bread with cheese. their single slice of bread is 2x our single slice loh! i was like dunno wan 2 slice with the cheese or nt, cos i wan cover the cheese. then tink tink fold also nt possible cos too thick. then dun care liao, take 2 n eat. v full sia! madness…

anyway, we reached the camp gate at 9am onli to know that there is no one opening the gate. in the end we had to travel bck to some spot where there is signal for our phone to call the camp to get someone to open the gate. (we had already called to tell them to open at 9am, but no one was there…) in the end, they onli moved off at 9am to open the gate… sad to say, we reached the work area at 10am… who cares, haha…

ard lunch time, i had 1 piece of raisin bread. too full to hv more, lol… bought a can of coke to keep myself awake for the rest of the afternoon. we performed our duties in the work place till 615pm before we left. onli to know that at the gate, awaited 2 other cars, haha… its either they r too lazy to go bck to the camp to get someone to open, or else is they r too smart to wait for us to get the person to open the door. :\

ard 730pm, we reached yeppoon. we went to order dominos! 4 different pizzas at A$7.95 each. which is very the cheap lor… n the size? is big! ok la, nt dat big, 8 piece pizza. sg’s pizza cheapest is 6 slice de. also still cost more than australia’s… ok, nt everything in australia is exp la, haha… 4 of us ordered 4 pizzas, cannot even finish. left exactly 1 pizza size, lol… nite is still young so took a rest to watch some videos b4 gg to bed! its time to head on for the nx day!

this movie was shown in the cinema right after the 1st n 2nd series. this movie although depicts on ip man before he became famous, the whole story was very brief. actually, the story itself didnt show much on how ip man became what he is known as today. the story was more of an original love n fighting story. not very good and also not that bad. i would say, a 3/5 rating for this movie.

Wallaby Day 2

woo, woke up at 7am after a good nite rest. had my breakfast once again at mcdonalds, haha… ate the never seen before bacon burger with tomato. (not really never seen before, is never seen before at mcdonalds in singapore.) then went down to camp straight to do our work.

at ard 1240pm, we went to the canteen at the camp to have our lunch. much to my surprise, there were no people. cos most of the people were not in the camp yet, so we were the only ones there. i ordered a hot dog bun, surprisingly, it was A$4… wad an expensive hot dog bun, n still it is superbly oily de lor… i eat until wan to puke… too oily for me… my dsta counterparts, namely lawrence, ordered a lasagne, which was too small to be too expensive at A$5 and kian seng, ordered 4 fishballs which cost A$6! it was the size of a fishball u would buy at the tiong bahru hawker center at 5 for $1! we were there cursing n swearing on why the hell it is so expensive to eat in australia… oh well… their coke were better, but still exp compared to singapore. costing at A$2 for a 375ml size.

so after lunch we went bck to our work. oh ya, to mention something. the portable aircon that they brought in, could not give enugh cool air to the room we work in loh… so it made the place hotter once we closed all the windows for the aircon. instead, we left the windows opened… we finish our work at 6pm and then left for dinner n hotel.

at ard 745pm, we reached a food mall and bought some groceries for the nx few days’ breakfast and lunch. we were not prepared to have our lunch again in the canteen… cmi… dinner was at red rooster (somewhat like a long john combined with kfc). i had a fish wrap costing A$5.25. the rest ate other food. at nitein the hotel was a bit more relax, watched tv, had some snacks and finally ended up sleeping. yawnz~~~

Wallaby Day 1

today is the day i set off for my trip to wallaby for my project support. at ard 645pm, i bidded farewell to baby, niu niu and the rest of the people while my mom sent me to the airport. reached the airport at 710pm and realised the flight was not opened for check in yet, lol… too early. at ard 735pm, alwin reached and we went to check in. after the check in, we went to hav dinner at delifrance. i ate a tuna croissant together with a mushroom soup and a cup of grape juice. total cost was S$9.90. eat until quite full, lol… walked ard the airport for a while before boarding at 925pm. when we reached the sign in area, we saw a lot of foreigner. i tink there were no chinese loh… alwin say we are outnumbered, must be careful, haha…

i watched 3 movies on the plane, the a-team, future x-cop and centurion. will update each movie later. during the ‘dinner’ time, i ordered lamb set while alwin ordered curry chicken set. the food was nice, i managed to finish all of it despite having eaten dinner b4 boarding the plane. while i was buttering the bread, one of the frenly australian uncle offered me another pack of butter, haha… must have seen me trying to ‘carve’ out the butter quite vigorously, lol… other than dat, nothing much happened until we touched dwn at brisbane international airport at ard 640am, australia time.

transited to domestic airport right after touching down. oh ya, the wind outside the airport was cold de loh… didnt expect it to be so cold sia… i still left my jacket in my checked-in luggage. anyway, i tink we were tricked when we were told by another ST staff that the domestic airport had more things to buy n see. in the end we bought the mobile internet cum phone plan. activating the plane was a pain in the ass, took us quite some time to activate it… so nx time muz get a better provider, haha…

the domestic plane we took was quite scary. when we were about to land in a few mins, the plane was quite jerky. v scary man… couldn’t sleep in peace… another joke of the day was when our dsta counterpart came to fetch us to the hotel, we were pointed at by another driver becos we were to slow on the road… but we were on the speed limit loh… -.-''' anyway, we still reached the hotel safely ard 2pm. now all talking about australia timing, lol…

after settling down at the hotel, we walked 1.5km to a shopping mall. quite ok la, the distance, even managed to bought some groceries for the week and had our lunch at mac. i ate mcChicken set while alwin ate fillet set. the mcChicken set was v nice! the meat they used is the same as the nugget one. nx time muz try their premium burger. oh ya, the price was ok la, considering australia, nt very exp though. after we finish our lunch n shopping, we headed back to the hotel.

we took a rest on the sofa and watched some tv, without any further instructions, we fell aslp! lol… after some sudden woken up by alwin, we watched some soccer and slept after 2 matches. quite tired sia, after we didnt sleep much in the nite on the plane. n that sums up the day~ will try to update almost every day as long as i dun feel tired and have the time, haha… i miss my darling baby and my cute little girl. hoping that the days will pass very quickly and wan to go back soon… i love both of u! muackz!

Centurion

also watched this on the plane. quite interesting movie that was casted in the rome period where rome was fighting the english. the fighting scenes and actions were like the movie 300, wonder the directors were the same. quite real hacking and slashing. the plot was a bit too blunt, not enugh meat in it. only good was the action. gave it a 3/5 rating.

The Last Airbender

the last movie i watched on the flight to brisbane. i personally think this movie a bit cmi, the actions were not good enugh to be rated even at 3/5, the plot a bit weak also, very normal kind of plot. fire kingdom wan dominate over the other 3 elements, so they went to conquest them. in the end they lost the fight at the water kingdom. nth much leh, the graphics also look very fake.. luckily i watched this on dvd, else waste my $$ watch in cinema. i give this movie a 2.5/5.

Future X-Cop

i watched this movie on the plane too, but this movie is a total failure… i just cannot believe it was once a movie shown in cinema… pathetic graphics, pathetic plot, pathetic actions… everything is pathetic. even though casts like andy lau, da s, zhou xun was in the movie, the whole movie still cmi. totally failed… i give this movie a 0/5 rating…

The A-Team

watched this movie on the plane and i wan to say dat this movie is quite good. the plot and the actions were quite good also. just that there is a bit of a confusion of the casts in the movie as some of them lookalike. i give this movie a 4/5 rating.
