Niu Niu’s 1st Huge Present!

yeah! niu niu finally gotten a superbly huge present! n this was the painful research baby has done for the past few weeks! yah, she was the one doing the research, i am the one behind advising, haha… so xin ku baby le! funny rite, i drive but she research, haha… she went thru a few sites to find the best and cheapest seats available, saw some gd ones n cheap ones ranging from $69 to $113.

we did manage to see 1 from jalan perminpin which was from one of the website, called palmax. that one cost $99, but wasnt the one we were looking for. although it says that its from 0-4 years old, but the seating angle is not really suitable for newborns.

so we went down to baby meadows at parkway centre to take a look at the other one that we saw from the website, rambler, costing around $113. this one was not shown on the display, but we were told of something similar to that which is called the ranger. but still, same like the one at perminpin, the angle wasnt low enugh. then the salesperson introduced to us marco polo which can go low enugh. ok we saw it, ya, it is quite gd, but cost $399. no further discount. so we decided nt to get it first. cos exp ya, need consider a while. n also the catch below to pull the chair, is quite sharp n can hurt ppl if nv done properly.

so we took a look at some other places in parkway parade. we went to kiddy palace to take a look n found 1, but not low enugh. price is considerably ok, at $239. we decided not to take tis.

nx we went to isetan to take a look n found the combi one that we saw on the net. oh dear, baby showed me one video on youtube on hw to fix the car seat into the car. n the video was going like so many different formations! i see liao i was like… erm… in awed? lol… n dat happened to be the combi car seat, lol… we did actually wanted to get this combi one, costing at ard $332.10 after discount. they even had a lot of color to choose from. but we decided to look ard for a while more before coming down to a conclusion.

we then went to the last available place that would most likely sell car seats, n that is mother care. n we saw one v gd one, called britax first class, costing at $469 though. v v exp. but cos the quality is quite gd, so we finally decided to get this, as compared to those we seen above. the salesperson initially told us that on top of the 15%, they will offer another 5% for the display cos there is no more in stock. but then when we were gg to make payment, the manager say cannot. instead they will get new stock for us to collect in 1 wks time. but then we took some time to consider n decided to ask them to get the black one instead, since it is also 15%, might as well get the black one which is new n costs the same. but then, somehw, there was no stock of the black one. so they gotten us another same brand same model, but upgraded one. its called first class plus, lol… this one costs the same, but the color erm… nt fully pink like the display one. its outside pink, inside a bit like v dark blue. the black one cost $490… weird, supposingly colored ones shld cost more… but anyway, i checked the car seat and found a torned side n informed them. then suddenly baby told me if they nt giving further discount, we will get the combi one instead. but then they came bck wif an additional 10% discount! woah!! wad a deal for such a small torned area! n so we gotten it at $358.79! onli until i gotten home, then i realised baby actually asked them to give discount, haha… n so below is the car seat that we bought!

Lego Competition

my 1st lego competition. not a really big one, but juz to build a lego fire model which can be anything. its up to my creativity and originality. i am not supposed to copy any of the existing models of course, creativity and originality ma. so i tot of building an almost full fledge of the facilities of a fire station. it wasn’t really nicely built in terms of color combination, due to not enugh pieces of a single color. but also to mention, they also say build something out of our own bricks. so it also means we do not need to follow any color code. on the left is a combined photo which i have taken for the competition. btw, the competition main prize is a $392 lego fire set, consisting of a fire station, a helicopter, a fire boat and a fire truck combined wif a speed boat.

1st Father’s Day Celebration!

today is nt the actual father’s day, but cos tml i had to complete the lego competition, so we decided to celebrate today. of course is also becos tml is a sunday, so we brought forward 1 day to celebrate. we went down to thomson plaza cos i oso wanted to go there to look at some lego parts to buy. costing me $29. then after which we went down to peach’s garden to hv our dinner. (btw, me, baby, niu niu and my MIL went down)

we decided to order the father’s day set and an extra dish, worried dat we might nt hv enugh to eat, lol… the food were quite gd, but a bit expensive ya… but still, i like it as baby treated me ma, hehe… lets take a look at wad we ate for today!

dish name: deep-fried scallop in “pa pa” world cup accompanied fried prawn with sliced almond in orange salad comments: hw can tis be a world cup dish when it doesnt look like one?…	dish name: double-boiled baby abalone with “cordyceps” soup comments: the baby abalone although looks small, but its quite chewy. :D
dish name: steamed sea peach roll with “angel gourd” in chinese wine and chicken stock comments: at first when i see this dish, i tot wth? so small?… onli to found out that the fish actually quite a lot, and the base is egg~	dish name: fried green asparagus with sesame accompanied portobello mushroom in oyester sauce comments: tis sure looks the biggest among all dishes…
dish name: fried chinese rice macaroni with minced meat in x.o. sauce comments: ok, this one is a bit spicy, but still ok for me~	dish name: papa beard pastry comments: initially we were thinking wth is this dish, after we finished eating it, we still dunno… (seems like its some bean paste)
dish name: seafood fried rice comments: finally something that do not have fanciful name!

The Karate Kid

went to catch this movie on a monday nite. it was a consensus movie agreed by me, song n cf. we betted on the previous match before this to see who treating the movie, but at the end, all of us guessed wrongly, lol… this movie actually quite interesting. telling about a kid from america moving to china cos of her mom’s work posting. then this kid got into trouble and was saved by jackie chan. then jackie chan taught him kung fu to prepare for a tournament. this kid also fell in love wif a girl. lol… interesting storyline. i give this movie a 4/5 rating. oh ya, at the end of the movie, we 3 guessed another score of another match, song won and the 2 of us had to pay for his share. :P

Build the Largest Lego Fire Engine Event

i applied for this lego event cos i want to see wads their free gift, anyway its free for the event. we went down to centerpoint as soon as niu niu is rdy, which was ard 245pm already. we are gonna be late! so we all quickly packed and proceeded to fetch aunt doris then to centerpoint. we were almost late as we reached there ard 3.25pm, i alighted baby, niu niu, my MIL n aunt doris first before i went to park my car.

after i parked my car, i proceeded to look for them at the lobby where the lego event was held. when i reached the event area, onli saw baby wif niu niu trying to build the lego, while my MIL and aunt doris went to hav their lunch. so i took over to build the lego, while baby bring niu niu ard to walk. btw, we were supposed to build as many lego blocks as possible. so in the process, my MIL and aunt doris joined in to help out. then baby also came back after a while. i then took over carrying niu niu while baby and my MIL continued to build the lego blocks. at 430pm, we went to collect our free gifts. below are some photos taken while we were there and also what is in the free gifts bag.

after the event, niu niu had her meal at a basement connecting centerpoint to 313 @ sommerset. finishing her meal, we proceeded to marche to hav our dinner! y we chose dat is becos of the voucher, dun waste ma, else will hv to throw away. so we had our dinner for abt 2hrs? i guessed so, lol… then we headed straight home after dat. wad a tiring day~~

Zi Xuan’s 3rd Jab

niu niu’s 3rd jab of the season. this is her 3rd vaccination. i took leave specifically just to bring her for vaccination, together wif baby and my mother-in-law. her appt is at 1040am. when we reached there, 1st thing is to drop them off while i look for a car park slot. it was like, wad? nt enugh car park slots? i was thinking y government built a polyclinic with no car park lots or so less lots. haiz… then nvm, after i parked the car, went to look for them. when i went up, they were already in the room. so i went in to see see. b4 the nurse could inject her wif the vaccination, someone frm another room cried loudly. then zi xuan began to cry also… we were like er… then the nurse inject while she is crying, n then she cried even louder… but she stopped crying after a while. i took over her and tried to pat her to slp while baby went to make payment. in fact for this visit, we dun need to pay as the payment was made already during the last visit.

after the injection, we all went down to toa payoh to visit the kiddy palace over there. my 1st time visit to the departmental store over there too. we walked ard n bought a few things for her. including some utensils that are suitable for her and some socks. after finishing our little shopping, she had her milk and change of diapers. after which we went for lunch at MOS burger. then we went home after dat. i guess she was a bit more cranky than the previous 2 visits for injections. cos she would cry suddenly when she was v quiet. or she would cry suddenly after waking up frm nite’s sleep. n i mean loudly… so we had to take turns looking after this little girl, especially my mother-in-law. haha…

倚天屠龙记之魔教教主

recently gt tis drama, 倚天屠龙记, showing on tv every wkend. so it instigated me to watch the old movie which was acted by jet li. cos whenever they show this movie on the tv, i would always miss the 1st 30mins. so i watched it again over dvd. :P nothing much to mention, as long as u hv watched the drama, this movie version is too little details compared to the drama. but i still would like to rate this movie a 3.5/5.
